Priest

Movie Name: Priest
Genre: Action, Drama
Language: English

I watched the Sunday morning show for “Priest”. I decided to go for the movie I like action movies. It had Paul Bettany that to in vampire action movie based on comic character.

The story is about Priests, the savior of mankind from the bloodthirsty vampires. After human-vampire war was over, they were neglected. One of such priest goes to hunt for Vampires as his relatives are murdered and his niece is kidnapped by some rogue vampires. Rest of the plot follows his attempts to save the humanity and his niece from the vampires. The movie ended with a promising climax from where a next movie can be expected.

Paul Bettany has done well as the Priest. Maggie has also done justice in his role. Karl Urban has looked great as the main villain for the show. The story is not lacking. The movie keeps you bound as it is for less duration.

The graphics are good. First scene where the human- vampire war history is explained is great. Action sequences are good but cannot be considered as par with other movies based on comics. The music is OK but the story looks a bit familiar. There have been movies on similar lines. The 3D is good and used judiciously. There is no room for drama as movie is for hard core action fans. It has given a good start for the next Priest movie.

My ratings are 3.0/5.0
